Moving repository from svn to http

I need advice for the following situation :

I have several users with three or four repositories served by an
svnserve.exe configuration, and am now going to move these repositiories to
another server where the serving will be done with Apache2 and DAV. The
working directories of my users know of their repositories' URL as starting
with svn:, now it will be http:.

The question is : Do I tell my users to commit all their working
directories, delete them and then check out under the http: URL, or is there
an easier way.

Getting programmers to do things within a given time frame is like
shovelling fleas across a barnyard, so I am looking for a simple solution.
