ETA for 1.2?

Hi,

I just started a project that extensively uses binary files and thus
needed that exclusive lock feature, that Subversion doesn't support
yet but the roadmap has listed as a 1.2 feature. To my huge regret
we've had to fall back to CVS to support these exlusive checkouts.
(Ugh, and if the switch from CVS to SVN was a nice +100 point
experience, the switch back was a much nastier -256 point thing.)
 
So my question is twofold:

1) Any update on the estimated time of arrival of 1.2?`

2) Any known workaround for 1.1?

(Oh and thanks for an excellent product btw.)
