Substituting existing mechanism with Subversion--help!!

Hi all,

I would like to use subversion for PHP development.

The existing mechanismis like this.

There is a Debian Server hosting the projects files in the apache home
directory.

ie all websites that are developed are put in differrent folders in
the "/var/www" directory

The "/var/www" directory is shared using Samba server so that the
programmers can access them and make changes using their IDE's and
refresh the browser to see the changes instantly.

If I use subversion will this be possible? Will the programmers be
able to see the changes instantly through the browser? has anyone done
this?

I f so could you please guide me with the set up process?

Thankyou so much

King Regards

Siju
