Hi Janina,

This is planned for the 1.2 release...
Check the roadmap: http://subversion.tigris.org/roadmap.html

Regards
Michael.

Subject: How to specify exclusive edit (i.e. lock a file) in SubVersion

Hi all

In my CVS project we have a lot of actually independent files. We use
watchers and the cvs edit command

(using WinCVS and reserved edit option combined with checkout readonly)

This feature makes perfect sense for us (in other words we really do not
want two developers to be able to edit the same file simultaneously)

Is this approach supported by SubVersion? How do we do this using a
Windows Client (TortoiseSVN?)

Thanks for your help,

Best regards

Janina Patolla
