Output from post-commit hook

Hi All,

In my post-commit hook I run a 'make' - the result of which I need to
show the client. I've been able to send messages back in the pre-commit
hook, but not the post-commit. I saw this bug:

http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=443

Alas, it's been a while and I was wondering if there's been any headway
on this. I know that I can log errors to a text file on the server, but
I don't want to add another step for the users. I could mail the
results to the user, but I want them to know at that moment wether the
build failed.

Thoughts? Any help/suggestsions greatly appreciated!

Best,
Erik.
