svn REPORT failed. request truncated

Hi,

I have the problem, that sometimes a checkout stops with this failure message:
Log Message on Client:
svn: REPORT request failed on '/crystal-source/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: REPORT of '/crystal-source/!svn/vcc/default': Compressed response was
truncated www.example.org

Log in apache2 error log:
[Tue Nov 09 14:08:50 2004] [error] [client nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn] Provider
encountered an error while streaming a REPORT response. [500, #0]
[Tue Nov 09 14:08:50 2004] [error] [client nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn] A failure occurred
while driving the update report editor [500, #103]
[Tue Nov 09 14:08:50 2004] [error] [client nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn] Error writing
base64 data: Software caused connection abort [500, #103]

I have noted this only with windows svn clients using a large (checked out 370
MB, 466 directories, 7197 files with over 19500 revs., imported from cvs.
But also a new repository not importet from cvs has the problems).

Both Client and Server are 1.1.1.. The Repositor is serverd via webdav over
https (but im pretty sure, this already happend before we used https). Apache
Version is 2.0.52 and uses mod_deflate, OS is Debian Sarge.

After this the co can be restarted with an svn up.

Any Ideas? Mod_deflate shouldnt be bad, or? But ill try it without.

Andres Freund

PS: Sorry, if my english is a littlebit weird, im not a native speaker... but
