best repository model

Hi,

I need your suggestions about the best repository model.
We have several projects that we developed and each project shares own
packet with other projects. I can say same thing for the others. At this
point, how can I share a packet throught all projects?

In order to keep the stable version of an project, I think I should keep
the stable version and I should create a branch affected by the changes
that coded by developers. When we decide that this branch has no bug, we
should merge this branch with the stable version. Next step, I should
create a new branch again. Is this the healty way?

I need your helps.

Thank you
