We usually try not to respond to newbie posts with "RTFM", but in this
case, I have to ask...

Have you even tried to read the book, the one prominently linked to
from the Subversion home page at http://subversion.tigris.org/? You
don't have to read the whole thing, just enough to get going. The
instructions for doing 'svn checkout' appear pretty early on, I think.

We don't mind answering questions here, but you have to make some
effort too :-). The people who wrote the documentation worked very
hard, please take advantage of what they've done!
