authentication problems

Subversion 1.1.0 rc4
Solaris 8
Apache 2.0.51

In my httpd.conf file I have simply:

      <Location /svn>
          DAV svn
          SVNParentPath /export/home/repositories
      </Location>

This should be open to anyone on the network (isolated lan). Yet when I try
to pull a project down using Jbuilder 2005 it repeatedly asks for
username/password. If I'm correct none should be required. What could
cause this problem?
