Wow. My last post generated some interesting responses... *laugh*
Unfortunately, it seems I didn't do a good job explaining myself. However,
let me preface all this with a note... I'm not a Subversion newbie. In fact,
I've been on board since Subversion 0.21, back in April of 2003. I'm well
acquainted with the "Subversion Way" of doing things and, frankly, I'm a huge
fan.

That said, I'm amazed (and somewhat confused by) by how opposed people are to
the concept of labels. I think Brad Appleton said it best when he wrote:

"same effect via different means !necessarily= the same thing"

I'm not saying labels should replace branches nor I'm not saying branches are
bad. I'm not trying to turn Subversion into a Perforce clone. I'm trying to
describe the rationale behind an additional approach which I found to be
quite handy and, given the posts on the subject, apparently some other
Subversion users have as well.

If there were support for this idea, I'd be willing to look at tackling it.

Meanwhile, I think I'm going to follow Kevin Bulgrien's technique and quietly
go back to lurking... *grin*
