windoze client problems

hello,
I'm testing svn client accesses from windoze xp to our linux svn server
(running svn with apache2). I'm still having problems with connecting to the
server with turtoisesvn and other clientprograms:
svn: PROPFIND of 'bfjkdfdk': could not connect to server (http://jkdkda)

Am I encountering again stupid windoze problems? The server is up, because I'm
still using it all the time with linux. I can checkout directories with
cygwin under windows and when I move with the old ms dos prompt to this
cygwin checkout the windows svn client is able to verify the directory with
the repository. Only a checkout is not possible here.
so,
svn co http://serveraddress/repos/myapp

works on cygwin but not on msdos or rapidsvn or turtoisesvn.

However several windows users like to use some kind of windows application, so
I need to get this running. Where is the problem. Any idea?
Taco Walstra
