It's untrue that you need frontpage extensions, as long as you have access
to the project directory via a unc path. Get rid of FPSE, and when you're
ready to deploy, use Project->Copy Project, choose "File Share" as the
method, and make sure the paths are right.

ASP.Net projects in Visual Studio have to be accessed through the web server

frontpage extensions, I can't just have a project on some directory and then

have it upload it on build time (yes, that's stupid, but I have to live with

it).
