Base directory of checkout tree?

Hi everyone,

    I was wondering if there is an easy way to tell what the base
directory of the checkout tree was, "svn info" doesn't seem to have
this. It would be nice to have this readily available for user scripts
to use, since "svn status" etc. give extra global information (such as
all the "externals" directories) if they are run in the top directory of
the checked-out tree.
