Importing history from Visual Source Safe

Does anyone know of a tool to move a Visual Source Safe database over
to subversion? We are thinking of switching to subversion but we
really want to have the histroy of our changes available if we do. I
was thinking that it would be possible to write an automated tool that
would go through the VSS database getting every version of a file and
checking it in to subversion to recreate the history, but I certainly
don't have time to write such a tool. Has someone else done it?
