Yes, if by 'he' you mean 'me', then you are correct -- the 'public'
responses that I got are in the mailing list for everyone to see. The
'private' responses that I received were (for the most part) intended to
be 'private'.
Again, thanks to the group for the responses that I did get. I will now
probably unsubscribe from the group if/until we get approval to pursue
Subversion again. In the meantime, I am having all sorts of 'fun' trying
to understand and set up respositories, etc. for cvs. In hindsight, it
would have probably been better if I had not 'tasted' Subversion since the
alternatives (like cvs) are making me very unhappy :(

I think he was just referring to all of the responses he had gotten on
this list, although perhaps he had some private ones as well.
