Andy,
perhaps, for reference you could attempt a http:// checkout and that way
check whether it is only a problem with SSL or whether it is a generic http:
problem?
By the way, how large are the files you're trying to checkout and how many
files are there in the largest directory?
I've seen problems in the past with large files (50Mb, IIRC) and large
directories (4000 files, IIRC) that wouldn't work properly. And until now
I've not seen a solution to that. (we made a workaround; because it was ACE
(an external library) that had the problem so we decided not to use the
vendor-branch approach for it)
