Don't pull out the LART just yet - I did do both steps. I thought I mentioned something along those lines in my original email, but maybe not. :)

I should've clarified a bit better - the one thing that is rather confusing to me is that there does not appear to be a 'libsvn' module anywhere (or not that 'find' sees). I noticed that Subversion put the 'svn' module under /usr/local/lib/svn-python, so I copied it to Python's site-packages directory (/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages).
