Yes, but I wanted to build it myself.

But now that you said that, I decided to download the Subversion 1.0.5
Cygwin source package and ./configure + make worked great as expected. I
still don't know what I was doing wrong, but anyway now I can use this
installation as a reference to try to build trunk/.
