Sorry that it was not clear.

I just want to use Cygwin as my building environment because I don't have
access to both MSVC or a Unix box right now. For Win32, I'm happy with the
available native Subversion tools.

If I could build it, use some common Unix tools like gettext (maybe I could
help with translations) or help fix bugs and still use Win XP for the
editors, IM, email tools, etc., that would be perfect.

If this turns to be complicated, maybe I'll just buy any of these cheap
Linux magazines that comes with CDs and get my problem solved. :o)
