Re: trouble installing on Mac OSX

Hi Paul,

The dir that contains the 'svn' executable either isn't in your path or
it is and 'svn' isn't executable. The install instructions must have
said to add the directory to $PATH through a shell script (possibly
.tchsh in your home directory). Don't forget the RTFM!

Please note that this is a basic *nix question that would be best put
to a newsgroup for these matters (one for Mac OS X in your case).

Regards,

Brooke

Hi there,
first off, I'm a bit new to running commands in the terminal window,
so my
problem may be really simple....
I've installed svn 1.0.5 from the binaries, after installing, it tried
typing the suggested "svn cat http://svn.collab.net/repos/trunk/README"
into
the terminal window, but get the following error:
tchs: svn: Command not found.
any ideas?
TIA
