javahl on AIX: GOOD IDEA? HOW?

From: <Darren_Enns_at_cwb.ca>

My ignorance in issues like this is extreme, so I need advise.

The person on my project team experimenting with 'ant' and 'svnant'
suggested to me that it would be good if I would install the Subversion
unix 'api' (javahl?), since he gets warnings about the existing fallback
method of 'command line' access. So I went looking for info, but did not
find a lot on this subject.

Is this really a big deal? Should I be trying to compile the 'javahl'
stuff on our AIX machine? Or should I just be content with the 'command
line' access to Subversion?

My attempts to go ahead and try to create 'javahl' on AIX have both
failed, so I want to know if I should just give up.

Thanks

Dare
