libsvn_fs_fs and nfs

With the new libsvn_fs_fs (non-BerkeleyDB)
backend option, will the server repository
still be required to be on local disk (as
opposed to NFS mounted disk)?

If so, when do you anticipate the release of
a version that will be stable enough to use
that incorporates libsvn_fs_fs?
