Heh. I started using commit-email.pl over a year ago because: 1) at
the time the Python bindings didn't work in the FreeBSD port, 2) I don't
know Python. #1 is solved now, and as for #2, I figure if it works for
the Subversion project, it's probably good enough for me. :-)
Happily, it all seems to work now, including the ViewCVS URL
generation. Many thanks for your work and quick response.
One tip for those inclined to try this: Michael's patch applies to
mailer.py on trunk (maybe the 1.1 release branch?) but not to the 1.0
release branch. So I had to grab a newer mailer.py, which is more
flexible but takes an additional command-line argument. Just read the
comments at the top of mailer.py and you can probably figure it out
pretty easily.
