Sync Repositories

At work I have a repository but I don't have access to it when I am
not at work. Sometimes on the weekend I need access to older versions
of files and what not. I am the only one using the repository and am
wondering if there is a nice easy way to sync to repositories on
seperate machines? Can I just copy the repository folder from one
machine to the other?
