Subversion repository crash

Hi,

we are developing 'yzis' running a subversion server (currently subversion
1.0.5 with db 4.2 and apache 2.0.49). Commits are done only through the ssh
tunnel.

so, the repository crashed today ...

svnadmin recover yzis gives :

svn@moria:~$ svnadmin recover yzis
Please wait; recovering the repository may take some time...
svn: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery

as suggested on #svn@freenode by fitz, I ran db_recover -vec :

svn@moria:~/yzis/db$ db4.2_recover -vec
db_recover: Finding last valid log LSN: file: 194 offset 901523
db_recover: Recovery starting from [193][28]

and it failed too.

I took a backup and restored the repository, but if that interests any of you
(db experts ?), a copy of the crashing repository is at :
http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~mmarcha/yzis-crash.tar.bz2 (4Mb / 837
revisions)

I was running viewcvs on this server, and I know it locked up sometimes ...
maybe it created an error in the repository...

please CC-me , I am not subscribed here.

Cheers,
Mik
