We compiled from source for our Solaris 8 client, then created a Solaris
package and installed it that way. Our package was not "pruned" in any way,
so it includes a bunch of things that are probably not totally necessary for
There are probably one or more GUIs available however in our shop we need
the scriptability of the CLI for a number of reasons, like semi-automated
integration testing.
If you need any specific pointers on Subversion client + Solaris 8, feel
free to drop me a line; I've been spending the better part of three months
on exactly this project and I'd be happy to share my experiences.

Subject: recommedation for subversion on solaris 8

Can somebody recommend a good subversion client for solaris 8 ? Is a gui
version available that works well, or should I install the subversion source
and compile the svn binary instead, thus using a command line interface ?

Thankyou in advance for your help.

Cheers, Tim.
