I wish I had some answers, but unfortunately, I don't. Our backup
procedure involves running hot-backup.py to make backups of the
repositories, and then rsync-ing those backups offsite. So, access to
the live repositories should only last as long as the hot-backup.py
procedures.

A couple of test-runs of the backup script that I just ran went
without any problems. So, I guess we can just try to monitor some
more.
