Wow, this might be great to add to appendix C...

I also discovered that if I create an *ordinary* apache mod_dav (not
mod_dav_svn) share and Require valid-user, then XP cannot authenticate,
period. It's absurd.

Ah, I guess someone just pointed out a link to that MS bug.

Bottom line: Webdav on XP is messed up in many ways.
