Can you tell me what files and versions you got and give a transcript of
what you did? You're only showing partial results below which makes it
very hard to guess what you typed and which versions you have.

Which version of autoconf, automake, and libtool do you have?
I've got:
autoconf-2.57-3
automake-1.6.3-5
libtool-1.4.3-6

Are you trying to build db42-4.2.52 or db4-4.0.14 or what?
