Q: berkeley DB error?

From: David Petrou <dpetrou_at_ece.cmu.edu>

i'm having serious problems with subversion 1.0.2 using berkeley db
4.2 on mac os x 10.3. i installed from fink. the fink maintainer
recommended i ask this svn mailing list.

all i did was a simple repository create, then import, then checkout.
now, any operation that accesses the repository results in the
following message:

partita 0/33 ~/vhome% svn update
svn: Unable to open an ra_local session to URL
svn: Unable to open repository 'file:///Users/dpetrou/svn_repos/vhome'
svn: Berkeley DB error while opening environment for filesystem
/Users/dpetrou/svn_repos/db:
Invalid argument

i tried googling for these errors but i come up with nothing. please
help if you can. i'd be happy to provide any info you need...

please cc: me on replies.

thanks,
david
