Execute external program on commit

Can I set svn up so that when a user commits the stuff committed gets
copied externally? Scenario is a staging web server on the same
machine as the subversion server. So I'd like users to be able to see
the websites after they commit their code, i.e. svn copies the files
from its repos to the web publish dir. Thanks.
