Sure, but note that this has nothing to do with Subversion. If your
users are on modems, it will take them X amount of time to transmit a
GB of data. It doesn't matter what revision control system you're
using -- that GB has to get across the wire somehow before any other
user sees it, and if the wire is a phone line, it will be slow. No
software can solve that :-).
