How does one do this from the command line? I'm getting the same problem
with French file names containing é or the bullet character. I'd happily use
en_US.UTF-8, but I don't know how to specify it. "apropos locale" didn't seem
to turn up any way to override this and using Terminal's Window Settings to
change the encoding to UTF-8 didn't seem to help either, judging by an ls
display. What's the magic incantation? Thanks.
