Berkeley DB error while creating environment for filesystem

Hello.

I'm trying to setup Subversion on a RedHat9 system.
I'm a complete linux novice, but I managed to install subversion.

Now I want to create a repository and I get this error message:

[root@168097 horst]# svnadmin create /root/svn/horst
svn: Berkeley DB error while creating environment for filesystem
/root/svn/horst/db:
Function not implemented

What does that mean? What could I do?

Thank you,
Regards,
Christoph
