Subversion's OS X dependencies -- will they interfere?

Hi,

I haven't noticed a binary for subversion 1.0.1 for OS X, so I'm planning to
use fink to install it. (On our OS X 10.3 Server machine.)

Last time I played with installing svn using fink I noticed a dependency on
fink's python.

But I've also heard it's bad to have more than one python at a time under OS
X because they won't play well together.

So, if I install subversion using fink and get fink's Python as part of that
process, will that cause me any problems, since I also have (and use)
Apple's Python? Or are they somehow completely independent from one another?

Thanks in advance for any insight...
