WebDAV&DeltaV plus some other questions

Hi,
 They say (in the book and other docs) that Subversion supports subset of
WebDAV and DeltaV. Does anybody know when will full support be available?
Also did anybody compare Slide and Subversion in terms of stability and
efficiency? We are trying to decide which one to use as our back-end engine
for binary file storage, so any input on that is wellcome.

 Does anybody know how efficient is diff on binary files (time + size)? I
know CVS just stores them, no diffs.

 Is there a way to backup versions older than SOME_TAG and then delete them
from repository? How about restore?
