binary vs. text data

Hi,

I know that subversion handles binary data better than cvs. In fact, I
think I read somewhere that subversion handles binary data just as good.
So I was wondering: What if I have gzipped mailboxes that change
regularly. What will use more space in the repository? The gzipped
versions or the non-gzipped versions, because subversions keeps less
data on each commit?

Ciao,
Viktor
