1) Did you remember to 'make install-runtime' when you built SWIG? That is what
builds/installs the runtime libraries which Subversion binding depend on.

2) I haven't been entirely sucessful with SWIG newer than 1.3.19; you might try
backrev'ing SWIG and see if that helps. I think the Ben Reser has been working
to make the newer SWIG happy, but I don't know the state of that process.
