Aha, very interesting. I re-ran your stress scripts on a 2ghz redhat7.2
box, using svn 0.37 linked to db4.0. After about 24 hours, iteration
112 finally failed:

> Creating md5sum
> Committing
Sending file1
Sending md5sum.txt
Transmitting file data ../u1/sussman/scratch/svntest-add.sh: line 38:
4134 Killed svn commit -m "$BEGIN / $END"
Failed commit

I don't know why the OS killed the process; maybe the memory footprint
was too big, trying to commit a 112MB file? It shouldn't be. I'm
recovering the repository now and re-trying the commit.
