Yes, I get the idea. The only annoying things about
Subversion, to me, is actually the ".svn" directories
and locking. In fact, I think locking is actually more
important to us than fixing the .svn problem.

Subversion is still a fantastic piece of software, and
we have come to trust it so much that we have thrown
away all other SCM products for good... err, well, we
still keep the bloody Visual SourceSafe product to
handle concurrent access to Word and UML files. It
gets corrupted at least twice a month, so it's not
like we're happy with it... :-(
