I'm speaking for me, as one of the developers. I don't plan on working
on it, and I don't know of anyone else who's planning on working on it.
  It's certainly possible that someone will, but I suspect most of the
developers are getting tired of people showing up on the lists claiming
that this is just the end of the world and that it needs to be fixed
right now. Honestly, it just isn't a huge priority to many of us to
work around Microsoft's bugs. If it becomes a priority to someone, and
they produce a patch that solves the problem in a way that the
developers think is reasonable, I don't see why it wouldn't be
committed, but so far that hasn't happened.
