It's not false advertising. The front page of the website has always
explained exactly what we mean by "proper handling" of binary files. We
claim to handle them *efficiently*: we transmit binary diffs over the
network in both directions, and the repository compresses all files
equally. These are huge improvements over CVS.

Nobody's arguing with you that locking is something we also need: we're
working on it. It's a very high priority post-1.0 feature.
