running svnserve on windows

Hi,
I installed svc just today. I want to access my projects via the
svnserve from a remote location. When I run
C:>svcserve -d c:\svnrepo, the cmd window remains open, how do I run
this in the background or as a service?

I am running it as an admin on the Domain controller is there any
security issue or best practice that I am missing?
