I don't know if anyone really cares about this but I thought I'd post
anyway. I'm having problems compiling subversion 1.0.0 and older versions
too for that matter. It's probably not a subversion problem as I have
libraries/programs that subversion depends on compiled with different
versions of gcc. Subversion does not seem to like that at all and
segfaults when run. Anyway, as an act of desperation I decided to
configure subversion with "--enable-all-static", but what I found is the
resultant "build-outputs.mk" file is full of relative paths. The "libtool"
program does not like this at all. I even tried the latest version of
libtool (ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.2 (1.1220.2.60 2004/01/25 12:25:08)).
I got subversion to all most compile "static" but I had to edit the
build-outputs.mk file and replace all relative paths with absolute paths
in order to do so.
