OS X SVN Installation problems (using Fink)

From: Gary Robinson <grobinson_at_transpose.com>

I want to install the subversion client for OS X. I first installed fink,
and followed the instructions for enabling it to access the unstable branch.
Here is the terminal session that followed:

> [Gary-Robinsons-Computer:~] garyrob% fink install svn-client-ssl
> /usr/bin/sudo /sw/bin/fink install svn-client-ssl
> Information about 2835 packages read in 1 seconds.
> Failed: Can't resolve dependency "system-java14-dev" for package
> "svn-ssl-1.0.0-11" (no matching packages/versions found)

This is under Panther. I do have the latest java installed, in case that
makes any difference (I noticed the java14 in the error message).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help!
