It IS a remarkable piece of software.
At the time when writing the old email,
Tortoise caused the explorer hang sometimes,
sometimes for about one minute or more
(recursively wc directory tree scan?)
But in the meanwhile they already have improved this
remarkable!

Currently we've still using 0.34 (plan to switched
to 1.0.0 if there are win32 client binaries),
so we cannot use TortoiseSVN at the moment.
But I'll definitely take a look TortoiseSVN
(I've seen they provide already a 1.0.0 binding :-)

Cheers,
Folker
