cvs2svn with branches and tags

I'm interested in converting some cvs repositories to svn. They have
some branching and tagging, and I saw the note on the man page that
cvs2svn doesn't handle this. On the other hand, some discussion on this
list late last year indicates that it does.

I'm running svn 0.37 on Debian GNU/Linux, so I think that's pretty
recent. Is this just a case where the man page hasn't been updated? Or
is such an update a risky move? (Risk = won't work at all, or will lose
some of the information).

By the way, some of the repositories were managed by WinCVS from a few
years ago. I believe that poses no additional challenges, but please
let me know if I'm wrong. For example, the repository line endings are
Unix style.

Thanks.
