no. only PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH are set.

hmm, I wonder if that is used in the right place.
I can't test at the moment, as I solved the problem with upgrading my
/usr berkeley db to 4.2.52 development.

ah. ok, I mixed things up. the apr in apache works, but the standalone
apr does not, IIRC.
