Problems building swig-java

Hi, I'm trying to build the java libraries so I can use SvnUp in IDEA.
Unfortunately, I seem to be running into some trouble. I'm using the
Subversion 0.37.0 source on Mandrake 9.2 with an Intel P4.

System Information
-------------------------
Linux version 2.4.22-10mdk (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
gcc (GCC) 3.3.1
GNU Make 3.80
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.3 (1.922.2.110 2002/10/23 01:39:54)
J2SE 1.4.2_02
SWIG Version 1.3.19

Compile Attempt
---------------------
./configure --enable-swig-bindings=java
make
make swig-java

I get the following output:

mkdir subversion/bindings/swig/java/org/tigris/subversion/swig
cd
/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/subversion/bindings/swig/java/org/tigris/subversion/swig
&& /usr//bin/swig -c -java -package 'org.tigris.subversion.swig'
-I/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/subversion/bindings/swig
-I/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/subversion/include
-I/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/apr/include -o
/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/subversion/bindings/swig/java/svn_client.c
/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/subversion/bindings/swig/svn_client.i
/bin/sh /home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/libtool --silent --mode=compile
-DSWIGJAVA -I/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/subversion/bindings/swig
-I/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/subversion/include
-I/home/sean/subversion-0.36.0/apr/include -I/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_02/include
-I/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_02/include -I/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_02/include/linux
-prefer-pic -c -o subversion/bindings/swig/java/svn_client.lo
subversion/bindings/swig/java/svn_client.c
libtool: unrecognized option `-DSWIGJAVA'
Try `libtool --help' for more information.
make: *** [subversion/bindings/swig/java/svn_client.lo] Error 1

Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? What's the ~right~ way to build
the javahl code?
