Status output order

Hello

Is there a specific policy about the order of the output of the "svn
status" command? I have searched the various documentation sources but
I didn't found anything.

I guess that some rules are followed since the output order seems to be
stable, but it is not alphabetical within a given directory, and that
is rather annoying (at least to me).

Has anyone further information on the subject?
